The program is taught by university professors, associate professors, faculty members who are also researchers, and experienced professionals from industry and the service sector.
Curriculum
The FONTANET program allows for career advancement from the technician level to the engineer level. The degree awarded is identical to that of the initial training program.
This degree is earned in two stages: a preparatory phase (9 months) and a final phase (2 years).

Preparatory Program
It is offered jointly by the three Universities of Technology—UTBM, UTC, and UTT (Belfort-Montbéliard, Compiègne, and Troyes). It is administered jointly by UTBM and UTC. The program is conducted primarily online via a digital platform. Students may pursue the program while working.
It includes a refresher course in mathematics, probability, mechanics, thermodynamics, electricity, computer science, and English.
The program lasts 250 hours, spread out from late October through late June (in-person classes + independent study). Trainees are provided with a training schedule that outlines, week by week, the pace of study for each module. This pace of study requires trainees to complete approximately 306 hours of independent study over the course of the program. Tutorial sessions may be held on weekends at UTBM.
Applicants who hold a Master's 1 degree or higher may apply for direct admission to the final cycle.
End-of-preparatory-cycle review committee: to certify completion of the program and admit candidates to an academic department at UTBM (Belfort), UTC (Compiègne), or UTT (Troyes).
Upper Secondary Level
The curriculum depends on the University of Technology and the chosen major. All course details are available to continuing education students.
The program lasts 4 semesters: the first 3 consist of in-person classes at UTBM, and the last semester is spent entirely at a company.
End-of-program diploma committee: for the purpose of validating the relevant certification.
