Is a certain language proficiency level required?
No language certification is required for the engineering program. However, applicants must have a sufficient level of French to be able to follow a French-language curriculum. UTBM does not offer any programs taught exclusively in English.
For master's programs, non-French-speaking students must submit a B2-level certificate when applying.
Am I eligible for an exemption from tuition fees?
Tuition for the 2024–2025 academic year is:
Core curriculum: 2,850 €
Engineering degree: 3,879 €
Master's degree: 3,879 €
UTBM does not offer a scholarship program. A full or partial waiver of tuition fees is possible but not guaranteed. Students are therefore strongly advised to plan on paying the full tuition fees.

Can I have my prior academic record recognized?
Admitted students may request recognition of prior learning. The decision to grant equivalencies is entirely at the discretion of the faculty.
Can I get help with this process?
UTBM cannot reserve housing on your behalf or provide you with a housing certificate. However, our staff is available to advise and guide you through the process. For more information, please refer to the student guides.
