The Universities of Technology (UT) in Belfort-Montbéliard, Compiègne (UTC), and Troyes (UTT) are delighted with the establishment of the University of Technology of Tarbes and warmly congratulate everyone involved in this great achievement!

The decree establishing this new University of Technology was published on November 24, 2023. The establishment will take place in two stages. First, the ENI in Tarbes will be transformed into a University of Technology, effective immediately following the publication of the decree. Then, on January 1, 2024, the IUT in Tarbes will become an internal institute of this University of Technology.

We are indeed particularly pleased to welcome a new university of technology in France, 50 years after the first one was founded in Compiègne.

We are working together to ensure that this new university of technology joins the UT group, with the shared goal of training the engineers of tomorrow: engineers who are open to the world and mindful of people and the environment.

The UT model offers a unique and innovative approach to education, which is its greatest strength. The Universities of Technology have demonstrated the relevance of their model within the French engineering education system.
