After two years of in-depth discussions and reciprocal visits,the Tarbes Occitanie Pyrénées University of Technology —UTTOP, whose creation was officially approved by decree on November 24, 2023—is joining the UT group as an associate member at the end of this year, alongside UTBM, the University of Technology of Compiègne (UTC), and the University of Technology of Troyes (UTC).
UTTOP is now on a path that clearly converges with that of the three other technology universities and fully adheres to the UT Group’s charter of values. This alignment is already taking shape: collaborations are underway, and joint projects are being launched, driven by a shared vision of engineering education and the role of technology in addressing major transitions.
At this point, it is important to note that UTTOP’s recruitment process remains separate from the joint recruitment process of UTBM, UTC, and UTT, as does its promotion at career fairs and orientation events.
This new phase strengthens an already robust network, in which each university brings its own identity, excellence, and ambition. Together, we support more than 12,000 students and a network of 25,000 alumni, and we contribute to the vitality of the regions we serve.
