It is with great pride and deep gratitude that theUTBM Foundationsigned, on Friday, May 16, 2025, two sponsorship agreements in support of the“Les cordées de la réussite” program, for which it serves as the lead partner in northern Franche-Comté.
As part of its “Territoire de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté” initiative, theEDF Group Foundationis providing uswith 5,000 euros in support.
LISI AUTOMOTIVE, a manufacturing company with deep roots in our region and a long-standing partner of UTBM, is providing a sponsorship of 8,000 euros.
In a context where the need for scientific, technological, and industrial skills is immense—with a projected annual shortfall in France of 120,000 young workers by 2030—these commitments take on their full significance. For there can be no reindustrialization without inclusion, nor sustainable innovation without a diversity of talent.
Thanks to these contributions, UTBM will be able to expand its support and immersion programs for the 22 middle and high schools in the Territoire de Belfort, Doubs, and Haute-Saône regions, with a particular focus on young people who are socially, culturally, or geographically distanced from science and technology programs.
These efforts take shape through concrete initiatives, such as the CRUNCH Scholar Camp—which each year offers middle and high school students a unique and immersive experience in the world of engineering and research—as well as science workshops, meetings with college students and engineers, and lab tours…all of which provide opportunities to discover, experiment, envision the future, and sometimes even dream of a path to higher education.
Les Cordées de la Réussite aims precisely at this: breaking down the visible and invisible barriers that hold back ambitions, inspiring career paths, and building a more equitable society where every young person can believe in their potential.
Thank you to the EDF Foundation (represented byAlain DAUBAS) and LISI Automotive (represented byFrancois LIOTARD, its CEO) for their trust, their commitment to social responsibility, and their faith in young people. Their commitment strengthens our mission as a university of technology: to educate, enlighten, and impart knowledge.
