Producing a short film from start to finish in just 50 hours: that’s the challenge taken on each year by participants in the One-Day Film Festival, which celebrated its 20th edition in 2025. The event, organized by students at UTBM, took place once again over Ascension weekend, transforming the Belfort-Montbéliard region into a veritable movie set.
This anniversary edition brought together 64 young people— divided into 8 teams—from all over France, supported by 16 former participants who returned in a non-competitive capacity. At the same time, a “making-of” video was produced to document these three intense days of creativity, teamwork, and passion.
After hours of writing, filming, and editing, the films were screened in public during the closing ceremony at the Montbéliard Theater, attended by about fifteen longtime former organizers and an exceptionally large jury.

Best Screenplay: *La petite voix* – GSI Media team
A sensitive and nuanced script, praised for its narrative mastery.
Best Cinematography: Vindicta – Camisole team
A striking visual world, with exceptionally meticulous cinematography.
Audience Award and Chrono d’Or (Best Film): *Silence ça pousse* – CNT/CNC team
This bold and moving film received two awards, having been highly praised by both the jury and the audience.
At its core, this festival remains, above all, a human adventure. While some rush through their work, others plan every detail. Whatever their methods, they all share the same passion for film and the desire to create together. The atmosphere remains warm, collaborative… and memorable.
