You see all kinds of soccer jerseys on campus—from every country, every club, and every age group. But as you’ve surely noticed, the one fromFootball Club Sochaux Montbéliardholds a special place in our hearts.
The goal? To better understand the club’s social role and the bonds it helps forge among us. This research is being conducted by social science researchers in the Humanities Division at UTBM.
And that's exactly where you come in:
In this questionnaire, you’ll be asked about everyone you talk to about the FCSM. We’re interested in both close connections—like when you re-live the game for hours with a friend—and more casual interactions—such as mentioning the game’s results at the bakery on Saturday morning or a coworker teasing you at the coffee machine on Monday.
For comparison, we will ask you the same questions about the connections that arise with another common cultural activity, chosen at random from among video games, reading, audiovisual works (movies, TV shows, documentaries), or soccer outside of FCSM.
Before we dive back into our memories of the weekend, we're counting on you.
And of course, we'll keep you updated on this major investigation.
