Combating sexist behavior and violence in higher education and research—particularly sexual harassment—is one of the key priorities of the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education, and Research (ME-NESR) in promoting gender equality.
In this context, the UTBM is committed to combating sexual harassment and is implementing a system to prevent and address sexual harassment—an offense punishable under the Penal Code—in order to:

• to educate UTBM students and staff about sexual violence,
• to receive and support people who may be victims or witnesses of such incidents,
• put a stop to the prohibited conduct.
