Cognitive ergonomics is a human-centered approach that draws on the study of mental processes to examine the interactions between a user and an interactive system, such as software, a website, or a mobile app. As you know, UTBM is particularly active in this area of research and teaching.

It was a great pleasure to welcome to our campuses a renowned expert on the subject, Dr. Farzan Sasangohar, PhD, from Texas A&M University, editor-in-chief of the journal *Human Factors in Healthcare*, and a researcher at Houston Methodist Hospital.

Meetings with our students majoring in mechanical engineering, ergonomics, and industrial systems

Discussions with researchers about their respective publications, as well as with doctoral students and the dissertations they are working on, organized by Mohsen Zare, an associate professor of ergonomics and human factors in the ERCOS (ERgonomics and Systems Design) team. This multidisciplinary research unit in the humanities and engineering sciences is particularly involved in topics related to mobility and transportation of the future. 

Discussions with Denis Choulier, head of industrial systems training, and Fei Gao, director of research, doctoral studies, and innovation—as well as with Franck Gechter, director of international relations and internationalization—on the possibility of establishing student exchange programs by building on existing ties in the field of research.
