The UTBM community is proud to have designed and created the time capsule for the Belfort Territory Prefecture, which was sealed yesterday for 100 years, and is deeply honored to have been invited to place two items inside it:

• the UTBM medal, on which our motto is engraved: a different perspective on the world,
• A depiction of the ziggurat at the Sevenans site, one of the institution’s iconic towers.
  This model embodies the UTBM’s knowledge and expertise: the copper alloy is produced in an induction furnace, atomized in a neutral atmosphere into powder particles approximately 0.03 mm in diameter, and then processed using laser sintering—a form of additive manufacturing—to build the final object layer by layer.
  Few institutions have mastered the additive manufacturing of copper alloys.
