How does it work? What technologies will shape the future? Come experience the immersive, interactive, and demonstration-based activities prepared by our faculty and students.
Admission is, of course, free of charge between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Highlights of the UTBM exhibit area include:
- YUMI, our two-armed collaborative robot, will create live portraits of visitors based on a simple photograph taken on site
- ANIMO, the result of a collaboration between researchers and artist Lina Khey, will bring to life digital paintings generated by emotions captured on visitors’ faces using artificial intelligence
- 4D printing, a pioneering field being explored by UTBM, will reveal how 3D-printed objects can transform in response to external stimuli—a promising advancement for the medical and aerospace sectors
- LUSIM, an educational lung model and respiratory disease simulator, will provide healthcare professionals with an immersive training experience in the management of respiratory diseases through the use of ventilators
- A virtual reality escape game will raise awareness of environmental issues related to air quality in a fun way [an educational project by engineering students and researchers]
- TIAGO, one of our intelligent service robots, will be put to the test in sorting and tidying tasks thanks to its vision and AI capabilities [research project]
- Finally, a demonstration of autonomous robots will simulate an operation in a high-risk environment, such as a nuclear facility [an educational project by engineering students]
