Five agreements were signed on Tuesday between the military, UTBM, Esta, IUT, and the companies VMC and Odyssée Technologie. The goal: to encourage employees and students to join the citizen reserve.

From now on, reservists will be allotted 10 days per year to devote to their activities with the National Guard. In addition, students will have the opportunity to adjust their study schedules.

To become a reservist, you must be between the ages of 18 and 40 and be physically fit. Training then consists of a one-week PMD (introductory military training) with a regiment, followed by a two-week FMIR (initial military training for reservists).
