On Monday, March 19, the regional final of the “My Thesis in 180 Seconds” competition, organized by the Conference of University Presidents and the CNRS, was held in Besançon.
Ten contestants from across the region took turns delivering a concise, clear, and compelling three-minute presentation on their research projects.
Karen Rihani, a student studying the sense of smell in fruit flies at the Center for Taste and Food Sciences in Dijon, took first place.
Lucille Despres, a student at UTBM, received second prize from the public for her thesis:“Mechanisms of Damage to Thermal Barriers in a CMAS-Rich Environment.”
The national finals will be held next June.
