People from Alsace, of course—22,000 of them, you might say—but also Italians, Russians, and Swiss…How artificial intelligence is being put to work for history—and in this case, specifically for the City of Belfort’s civil registry —thanks to a duo of professors from UTBM: Laurent Heyberger, a lecturer in contemporary history, and Franck Gechter, a professor of computer science.
