Awards Ceremony for the Winners of the Sonceboz Mechatronics Challenge
Organized bySoncebozandFISE Energieas part of the TR57 course, the Sonceboz Mechatronics Challenge gave students the opportunity to work on energy recovery from an exercise bike during the fall 2020 semester.
Reenacting the “Planche des Belles Filles” in the lab certainly brought back memories of the Tour de France for cycling fans, but above all, these projects allowed UTBM students to showcase their skills in real-time controller programming, electric machine control, signal processing, and system monitoring—areas that Sonceboz has valued at UTBM for several years.
Christophe ESPANET, Scientific Director at Sonceboz;Clara GAGET, Talent Acquisition Manager at Sonceboz; andDaniel DEPERNET, head of the Electronics and Embedded Systems program at FISE Energie, had the honor of presenting awards to the top three teams for their highly appreciated work:
- 1st place: Laurent MICHELUTTI and Mohamed SECK
- 2nd place: Julien DONZE and Florent HARGE
- 3rd place: Baptiste POUPON and Baptiste RAILLARD
They also highlighted the high quality of all the performances and the tremendous motivation of all the participants.
The winners were presented with a magnificent mouse featuring a state-of-the-art magnetic scroll wheel from Sonceboz, as well as a certificate that will serve as a reminder of their journey as they embark on their promising professional careers.
