We were pleased to welcome Mr. Marc-Alexandre FAVIER on Friday, February 7, 2025. Mr. FAVIER graduated from UTBM in 2010 with a degree in the IMAP program, now known as Industrial Engineering. After learning German at UTBM, he completed his end-of-studies internship in Bönen, Germany, following a gap semester there. He is now a researcher in digital agriculture at the Rheinland-Pfalz Technical University (RPTU) in Kaiserslautern, Germany. A chance encounter during a conference on vehicle mobility in natural environments in the Massif Central led to the creation of an Erasmus+ partnership between our two universities (2017). Since then, nearly twenty students from UTBM and RPTU have benefited from this partnership.
Over the past five years, Mr. FAVIER has been involved in two international cooperation projects co-funded by the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, as part of our partnership and the twinning arrangement between our two regions. The first,Schengen35, which brought together the Student Association and its German counterpart, concluded in July 2022. The second project will conclude in July of this year. Among other achievements, it led to the development of an augmented reality app that translates campus signage, thereby facilitating the integration of exchange students.
This visit provided an opportunity to discuss our future opportunities for collaboration and student exchanges. Mr. FAVIER also had the pleasure of seeing the renovations to Building A, which he knew well from his time as a student.
