As part of a FSP (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) collaboration project between France and Angola, UTBM joined a project launched two years ago by CIEP and UTC to offer a Master’s degree in Industrial Systems Engineering in Luanda. 
Four faculty members from UTBM, alongside a faculty member from UTC, taught science and engineering courses at Agostinho Neto University.

ANGOLA is currently receiving funding from Europe to enable France, through its agency “Expertise France,” to assist Angolan higher education and research institutions in improving their standards and performance. UTBM, among other institutions, has positioned itself to support Expertise France in its missions. UTBM sought to strengthen its collaboration with Agostinho Neto University by signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on June 18, 2019.
