It was well worth celebrating such an anniversary. The 40th anniversary of the Mirage 2000 was celebrated at one of France’s oldest military airfields.
Yesterday, BA116 in Luxeuil-Saint-Sauveur welcomed General Jérôme Bellanger, Chief of Staff of the Air and Space Force, as part of a commemoration that will be long remembered—especially by our 18 mechanical and ergonomics engineering students who were invited for the occasion.
Our strong, long-standing partnership with our community regularly results in news updates that we share with you on these social media platforms.
So, when we were invited to this celebration, we decided to give the best gift possible: a model of a Mirage 2000-5 from the 1/2 Cigognes fighter squadron at BA116 in Luxeuil.
Created by six students (Marion Blanchard, Arthur Borié, Tanguy Merle, Clémence Morhet, Hubert PIET, and Hugo Terki), this model was presented to General Bellanger and Colonel Emmanuel Roux, the base commander, as part of a discussion with the students and the UTBM delegation, led by its director, Ghislain MONTAVON, alongside the faculty team: Thierry Rouxel, Morad Mahdjoub, Hugues BAUME, and Fabien MOUGEOT.
The many visitors to the UTBM booth also reportedly generated a few inquiries…stay tuned for the next students in the “Perceived Quality and Style” course.
