The hotel experience is evolving to build customer loyalty not only through services but also through values.
UTBM is proud to see the hard work of two of its students in the Mechanical Engineering & Ergonomics program—Ilysa Binti Abd Ghafar and Mohamad Aliff Hakim Bin Rostam—recognized.
They won the Sytcom Award in the “Zero Waste Design” competition.
Their project, affectionately named Brew, is a hospitality tray that includes bulk coffee, sugar, tea, and other items in hotels, replacing the single-use packets and capsules that generate a lot of waste.
As the only group from an engineering school among the 13 finalists from art and design schools, the duo has created an object that is at once sleek, stylized, and technical. A small (but significant) extra that makes all the difference for the customer, the host…and the environment.
