A gateway through space and time between France and Canada: Welcome to the future!
[ Our Stargate ] It’s true that when we told the students about the show, they didn’t get it (that’s when you realize how time flies). Still, what a pleasure it was to dive back into Stargate for the duration of this project.
A stargate—or, more accurately, a time gate—has recently been taking us to the other side of the Atlantic!
A giant screen located at the reception area of the Sevenans campus broadcasts live footage of our partner’s campus,the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. Students from Quebec, for their part, can travel to France in the blink of an eye.
More than just a way to greet our Canadian friends on a daily basis, this door symbolizes the growth of our university’s international relations—we partner with 240 institutions around the world on exchange programs, dual-degree programs, and research initiatives, among others.
Thank you to UQAC for this premiere and for being there yesterday (and see you very soon for Crunch Time). Long live the time portal, which we hope will take us on more adventures. And a big shout-out to Franck Gechter, Director of International Relations, who’s at the helm of this project.
