Abstract: Addressing the role of technical education within democracy requires repositioning the role and function of technology education within our educational institutions. The book*Becoming an Actor in a Technical Democracy*offers a multidisciplinary perspective that contributes, through its insights, to the construction of a democracy that integrates technology. Within this framework, we situate these reflections and this research from an epistemological and didactic perspective. This book heralds a paradigm shift in the construction of technical knowledge, as it positions the activity of redesign as an essential phase in the education of future citizens.
